Mario Jones is an Atlanta native with deep New Orleans roots. Mario graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He later matriculated to Tulane University School of Public Health and obtained a master's degree in Health Administration. Mario considers himself to be a “multipotentialite.” He started his professional career in hospital and clinic operations but later moved into public health and community resilience work. He has also done creative work in graphic design and web development. His interest in green entrepreneurship and social innovation has led him to work with Dr. Beverly Wright and the Deep South Center for Environmental Justice. In regards to the issue of climate change, Mario believes that we have the power to leave this world better than how we entered it and we all have to work together to harness this power.
