Deborah Merrick, BS

Program Manager for Education and Training
Deborah Merrick is the Program Manager for Education and Training. She has worked at the Deep South Center for Environmental Justice since 2007. In her capacity as Program Manager for Education and Training, she is responsible for the daily oversite of the Environmental Career Worker Training Program. In addition, she serves as Lead Program Manager for the Worker Training Program Consortium. Ms. Merrick is the liaison for connecting Program Managers of training sites located in Houston, Texas; Detroit, Michigan; Pensacola, Florida and Savannah, Georgia; ensuring that all sites are operating as one cohesive unit.

She designed a communications protocol to promote an exchange of ideas among program managers in order to provide a wider range of job opportunities across the states to increase job placement for all graduates. Ms. Merrick obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and has more than 15 years of experience in the field of Training and Development.
